The TX Branch of the ASM hosts two annual meetings each year. The spring meeting is geared towards promoting undergraduate and graduate research and education. For the last several years, the spring meeting has been held at the T Bar M Resort centrally located in New Braunfels, TX.
Participants include students from colleges, universities, and community colleges across the state. The larger fall meeting is geared more towards graduate students, post-docs, and early career professors, although participation by undergraduate students are still encouraged.
Both the Spring and Fall meetings provide opportunities to share research through talks and poster presentations in a friendly, collegial atmosphere. Occasionally, joint meetings are held with neighboring branches such as the South Central Branch (LA, AR, MS), Missouri Valley Branch (OK, KS, NE), and the Rio Grande Branch (New Mexico and far west Texas).
