How to arrange a tour of the Galveston National Laboratory BSL4 facility:
- The GNL was built by NIH as a resource for the study of emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases and the vectors that transmit them. As one of only two U.S. universities with a BSL4 facility, UTMB is in a unique position to study high consequence pathogens, with the ultimate goal of developing important, lifesaving medical countermeasures. Join research team members from UTMB on a behind-the-scenes tour of the facility. These tours are limited to the first 40 participants. All participants must consent to a background check, email Dr. Maureen Laroche (maularoc@utmb.edu) and complete the required paperwork no later than October 15, 2024.
