ASM Texas Branch Spring 2025 Meeting

Save the date for the ASM Texas Branch 2025 Spring Meeting at Mount Lebanon Camp! This conference is geared toward undergraduate students and first- and second-year graduate students. It is a great opportunity for students to develop their presentation skills and interact with faculty from all around Texas in a friendly and relaxed environment.
Registration/check-in begins at 4:00 PM on Thursday and will be followed by dinner and the opening session with Dr. Joseph Boll from University of Texas at Dallas. Undergraduate and graduate oral presentations will be Friday morning and poster presentations Friday afternoon.
Abstracts for oral and poster presentations are due Feb 28. Abstract submission is open through Oxford Abstracts.
We are honored to have Dr. Jennifer Honda from University of Texas at Tyler giving the Goldschmidt Lecture Friday night. On Saturday morning, Dr. Davida Smyth, member of the ASM Task Force for Curriculum Guidelines, will lead a discussion regarding the newest ASM Curriculum Guidelines for Undergraduate Microbiology.
Registration fees are as follows:
Regular Member (Faculty) $130.00
Regular Member (Post-Doc or Technical staff) $95.00
Student Member (not presenting) $60.00
Student presenting paper/poster $45.00
(presenting a paper or poster; 1 per presentation)
Only 1 student can use this rate if multiple presenters.
Saturday only $25.00
Guest $60.00
Late fee (after March 7th) $25.00
Hotel room (double occupancy, duration of the meeting) $180.00
The registration fee includes bunkhouse lodging, Thursday dinner, all meals on Friday and breakfast on Saturday. Please bring your own bedding, towels and toiletries. If you are interested in hotel accommodations, Mt. Lebanon offers double occupancy hotel rooms. A limited number are reserved for our group and will be available on a first come first served basis. Other hotels in the Cedar Hill area can also be found on the www.hotels.com website. We try to keep registration fees low, to encourage faculty members to bring as many students as possible. We will accept early registrations until March 7. A late fee of $25 is added to all categories after the end of early registration. No refunds can be made after March 7th.
NOTE: Hotel reservations can only be made and paid for during registration.
